This is a (somewhat) formal announcement of hourly price increases in 2020.  After much deliberation and sleepless nights I've decided what the rates will increase to next year. At the start of 2020 I Heart Blank will incorporate the new hourly rates.  I Heart Blank will honor all rates for contracts signed before January 1, 2020.  Check out the details below: Premier Client Hourly Rate = $115.00 The Premier Client Rate is mostly for corporate accounts.  This rate is for on-going clients who need (mostly) continual and instant updates.  While I still assure delivery dates for all of my [...]

Great news everyone!  Wordpress 5.3 "Kirk" was released yesterday!  The biggest change from the release notes are the focus on making the 'block editor' better, which a lot of people have been asking for: 5.3 expands and refines the block editor with more intuitive interactions and improved accessibility. New features in the editor increase design freedoms, provide additional layout options and style variations to allow designers more control over the look of a site. This release also introduces the Twenty Twenty theme giving the user more design flexibility and integration with the block editor. Creating beautiful web pages and [...]

I gave a speech to the local Business Improvement District in Hackettstown titled, "Marketing and Your Online Presence."  I thought I'd share my talk in a few parts to everyone! Take a look at Part 1 and Part 2! Campaigns / Promotions Your advertising, marketing campaign and/or promotion is really the sales force of your business. Rather than hiring someone to go sell your business to people, you use a campaign to get the word out and attract people to your business. When coming up with a campaign for your business…remember that it’s for a set amount of time. [...]

I gave a speech to the local Business Improvement District in Hackettstown titled, "Marketing and Your Online Presence."  I thought I'd share my talk in a few parts to everyone!  Take a look at Part 1 and stand by for Part 3! Pictures (Aesthetic) Sometimes I’ll show a client a ‘demo’ of what their site will look like. I can follow that template to a ’T’ and then at the end, the client says, “It doesn’t look like the demo.” I usually reply with, “You gave me pictures off your iPhone.” High quality pictures can enhance website like no [...]

I gave a speech to the local Business Improvement District in Hackettstown titled, "Marketing and Your Online Presence."  I thought I'd share my talk in a few parts to everyone!  Take a look and stand by for Part 2! Introduction With most things in life, everything comes down to either time or money. You can spend either your time bringing your marketing plan to life or pay someone to do it. Dedicating the time to spend on your marketing plan is one of the hardest things you can do as a business owner. Most people, including me, want to [...]

I've had a few people ask me about the new Gutenberg Editor in Wordpress 5.0.  Some people, including me, are a little skeptical and some people are diving right in.  Change can sometimes be hard, so I thought I'd put together some explanation of what's going on as well as some troubleshooting solutions to the new Gutenberg Editor. What is the deal with Gutenberg?! (in your best Seinfeld voice) Wordpress introduced the “Gutenberg” editor on the last release Wordpress 5.0 'Bebo'.  You can read my post about it (a quick overview) or check out the new features on Wordpress' Blog (a [...]

By |2018-12-07T16:17:06+00:00December 7th, 2018|WWW News|Comments Off on WordPress 5.0 “Bebo” Released

Great news everyone!  Wordpress 5.0 "Bebo" was released yesterday!  The biggest change this is bringing to WordPress is the new editor!  In the past, I would describe the WordPress WYSIWYG editor as basically MS Word '97 (probably the last time I used MS Word.) The new 'block editor' is is going to make creating content in Wordpress way easier.  Although there are plenty of plugins that have a 'visual composer', this block editor will be similar to how some of the 'other' website builders work (eg - Squarespace, wix, etc.).  Here's a quick video: Here's a blurb from WordPress's [...]

Use A Password Manager [...]
