Buzzfeed had a great post called "31 Mind-Blowing Examples of Brilliant Packaging Design." I believe some of them are 'concepts' more than reality, but all the idea's are actually pretty cool. For a limited time Zappos.com has a item for sale on their website. It's called the "Sh*t Product" and it's available to you for the low, low price of $100,000! I suppose this deserves a little bit of explanation. It all started when the always-amusing Kanye West was a guest on Bret Easton Ellis' Podcast and shared a story about a 'discussion' he had with Tony Hsieh (Entrepreneur and CEO of Zappos): I got into this giant argument with the head of Zappos that he’s trying to tell me what I need to focus on. This is a case of social media going right! As Adweek puts it, "Brands often freeze up when they're criticized on Facebook." I even talked (or at least reposted) about "The Unhappy Customer" as one of the 7-types of social media users (for business), and how "45% of consumers are more likely to share negative experiences on social media." This is a little tongue-in-cheek, but on October 8, 2013 a certain Richard Neill posted a rant on Bodyform's Facebook Page about Bodyform lying over the years about their products and the way they are portrayed in their commercials. Here's [...]
We posted K-Mart's "Ship My Pants" a while ago. Looks like they're still going strong. Here's K-Mart's new commercial titled "Big Gas Savings"
