Website Design With I Heart Blank, LLC

I Heart Blank specializes in website design.  We start with WordPress which is the biggest open-source CMS.  This allows us to make a completely customized site for you!   We’ll make you a website to fit your business all the while cohering to your marketing plan.

Certain industries evolve faster then one can learn.  The world of the web is most definitely one of them. I found WordPress.  It’s really great because it stays consistent with the latest technologies (including HTML5, responsive website, etc.) and allows you to update your own website very easily.  We start with WordPress which is a CMS that will allow you to update pages, post blog entries and basically allow you to have complete control over your website.

Because of WordPress‘ vast selection of plug-in’s and Themes your website will be completely unique and completely yours. There are Themes and unique Plug-in’s for nearly every business industry.

Whether you’re looking for Facebook and Twitter integration, or you’d like an ‘upload form,’ photo gallery, or event calendar on your page, we can implement them all.  It’s completely up to you.  Whether it’s a complete re-branding of your business or a simple site for your shop, we can help.  Simply call or email us!  Don’t forget that we offer hosting and domains!

Additional Info

When you contact us we’ll sit down (either over the phone or in person) and discuss what you’re trying to do with you website.  We’ll take a look at your logo, some of your ads (if you have any,) social media, and other pieces of your business plan and marketing plan.  At this point we’ll also determine if you need anything other services we can offer.  From there, I’ll put together a little bit of a proposal so you know what the estimated costs will be.

When you’re ready to move forward on your website we’ll sign an Agreement.  I don’t like the word contract because that’s really not what it is.  It simply, literally makes sure we’re on the same page.  It is not my intention to do a bunch of work to not to get paid, and you don’t want to spend your hard-earned money on something that isn’t up to your standards.  The agreement simply makes sure we’re on the page and I am more then happy to go over any part of it with you.  I typically ask for a retainer of half of the total cost.  Then we move on to the two phases of your site.

We generally do websites in two phases.  The first phase includes potentially getting a little more information from you, including what color scheme you’d like to go with and what kind of information you’d like on your site.  After that it’s time we go to work.  Usually this takes between two or three weeks, but if you’ll be given a more structured timeline in the Agreement.  This is also the time for you to start getting the content together for the website.  No one knows your business like you do.  You’re the one that should be writing.  If you don’t think you can write passionately about your business then we can put you in touch with a copywriter who will be more than happy to have a conversation with you and type something up!

When phase one is complete, you’ll be able to take a look at your website!  The ‘shell’ of the site will be up and at that point we’ll basically be waiting for you to provide us with content and any final edits to the website.  At the end of phase one you will receive an invoice for another quarter of the total.

That’s pretty much it!  We’ll make the final corrections and then you’ll be ready to show the world your brand new website!  You’ll be provided with a PDF of your usernames and passwords for WordPress, your domain, the cPanel and whatever other passwords we have.

Website Design FAQs

How Do You Approach Features We Need On Our Website?2017-11-10T15:08:07+00:00

I am usually pretty ‘hands-on’ with my clients.  I usually get an idea of what my clients want and then give then a number of solutions with my recommendation of the best one.  From there I work with clients to achieve the best solution at the most reasonable rate.

Do You Write Content For My Website?2017-11-08T20:28:24+00:00

No.  Our job is to present the information you provide in a creative way.  One that adheres to your marketing plan, etc.  The truth is that you know your business better than anyone and we can provide you with the tools right some great content for your website…you know what ‘sets you apart from the pack.’

We also understand that writing content can be time consuming and a huge pain in the butt.  Even as I created this site I found myself stuck on plenty of content on this very site.  If you don’t have time (or energy) to write your content, we can provide copywriting services for you.  You can simply write some bullet points or simple sentences on what you’d like on the page and we’ll get amazing content written that’s also SEO friendly!

How Much Does A Website Cost?2017-08-11T17:26:05+00:00

Website prices do vary.  We’ve gotten people started for around $850 and we’ve done sites that are considerably higher.  I was doing some research about whether Website designers put prices on their sites.  Some do and some don’t.  After that I thought about what I would want to see.  The answer was that I’d want to see something, but can be different because every business is different (yes, even Coke and Pepsi.) The hourly rate for website design is between $90 – $100 / hr.  All website pricing is based off the projected hours spent on the site.  Contact us and let’s chat!

What About My Passwords?2017-08-11T16:58:38+00:00

Some web designers don’t readily share passwords to their clients.  I Heart Blank does not share this ideal.  As soon as your website is done you’ll receive a PDF with all your passwords.  If I get hit by a bus, you’ll be able to give that PDF to your next web designer and you’ll be able to continue with your work.

We believe you have the right to be in charge of the things you pay for.  This includes access to your website, hosting, domain, etc.
