It’s easy to get deflated in business. \u00a0Sometimes it’s hard to bounce back. \u00a0There are many reasons why your ideas, goals and brainstorms might get shot down (or shut down) in a work environment. \u00a0I’ve always compared it to “letting your cup run dry<\/em>“. \u00a0Whether you’re tired of doing work that gets unrecognized, get your ideas brushed under the rug, or even passed by. \u00a0There’s only a certain amount of…let’s call enthusiasm you can muster before it’s all gone; and in turn, you’re cup runs dry. \u00a0Some people call it getting burned out<\/em>; and the outcome can make lose your passion for what you do.<\/p>\n

It sucks because you lose motivation, in essence, to do your job effectively and you could lose interest in your job or even the field you’re working in. \u00a0It can also impact the forward-progression of the company you work for. \u00a0Creatively helps business strive and get a head in the marketplace. \u00a0If bosses, clients, employee’s or committee’s\u00a0get in the way of that creativity, the results could also effect the company you work for.<\/p>\n

I think one of the most important things you can do is finding ways to “fill your cup” in-between these ‘deflation periods.’ \u00a0 Below I’ve highlighted some ways I’ve stayed motivated over the years and I hope it helps.<\/p>\n

Simply Ask For Support.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Sometimes it doesn’t hurt to ask. \u00a0If you’re leading a project or doing a project on your own, you can simply tell\u00a0your boss, client, co-worker that you need support from them because you’re getting burned out. \u00a0Just with a simple awareness of your mental state they may (and should) help you provide you with criticism in a different manner.<\/p>\n

Remember That You’re Not Alone. \u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I know it sounds mean but sometimes you have to convince yourself that the people around you ‘don’t know what they’re talking about<\/em>.’ \u00a0Consider it a little bit of confidence. \u00a0There’s been a number of times where I’ve suggested changes \/ projects that didn’t get taken seriously. \u00a0I try to make it known that it was suggested at an early time and what the hazards were that made it fail when I suggested it. \u00a0 You don’t have to do it in a negative or condescending way, but it’s important you keep your confidence in your abilities so you don’t get burnt out. \u00a0I found a hilarious article from Cracked.com<\/a> titled “5 Geniuses Ridiculed And Fired For Being Right Too Soon<\/a>.<\/strong>” \u00a0Here’s a quick highlight of\u00a0the 5 Genius’:<\/p>\n
