Hey All…a few things before we crash into 2020. First of all, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!  Mine was pretty great; thanks for asking.  Now, onto business.

Copyrights

I’ve successfully updated all websites with the “© 2020”.  To double check, just go to your website and scroll to the bottom.  If you’re not seeing it right away, make sure you clear your cache.  If you’re still not seeing it, shoot me an email and I’ll double check!

PHP Updates

While doing the I Heart Sites monthly updates, I also updated a large majority of your PHP versions to PHP 7.3.  I tested and only upgraded/updated those sites that would take it.  If you’d like to learn more about this check out this post.  If you’d like to make sure you’re running PHP 7.3 or have any questions, just shoot me an email.

SSL’s

If you didn’t read it last year, I Heart Sites new hosting offers Let’s Encrypt SSL’s for FREE!  That’s when you see the ‘https://‘ instead of ‘http:// in the URL.  While all new sites automatically get the free SSL, there are still a few sites that don’t have SSL on the server.  This typically takes about 30 minutes to complete (install the SSL and make sure your site shows the ‘padlock’.)  If you wanna learn more about the SSL’s, read this blog post.  If you’re interested in getting your site ‘up to speed’ then call (908) 509-1013 or email me.

Price Increases

If you didn’t see the email, just want to make sure you know that I Heart Blank 2020 price increases start tomorrow.  I will honor all contracts at the current rate if it was signed before today.  If you want to learn more, read the blog post.

Passwords

Finally, I’m in the beginning stages of converting everything, but I Heart Blank is now using Last Pass to secure login credentials.  I typically let everyone know that I am not required to keep passwords for clients, although I try my best to save the real important ones.  This will (once I test everything out) lead to a new, safer way to share passwords with all of you.  I’m sure I’ll create a post about it once I do some testing.  Just wanted to give all a ‘heads up.’

Conclusion

I think that’s it for now.  I wish all of us a successful 2020, both personally and professionally.  I look forward to working with each and every one of you.  Enjoy tonight and don’t drink and drive!
