There’s More Than One Type Of Sales

By | 2017-08-14T22:00:10+00:00 July 6th, 2015|Business|Comments Off on There’s More Than One Type Of Sales

Hey guys.  It’s been a little bit since my last post.  I thought I would get back ‘on the wagon’ (or off the wagon…whichever one it is.) Todays rant is all about Salespeople.  I was a sales person for a number of years and there’s a few  conclusions I came up with.  Instead of going on a rant about everything I dislike about sales, I thought I would write about what I actually like about sales. Last week we talked about the newest Facebook Algorithm pages.  While I was educating myself on the algorithm changes I came across an article from Buzzsumo about 17 things you can do to help with your presence on Facebook.  It was pretty useful and promotes some of the things I've talked about so I thought I'd share it.  The article is titled, "17 Experts Tips On Dealing with The Latest Facebook Algorithm Changes."  Here are the highlights from the article (if you're interested): Get Your Facebook Fans onto an email list Practice storytelling with each Facebook post  Understand what [...]

By | 2017-08-14T21:57:13+00:00 May 1st, 2015|Business, WWW News|Comments Off on Facebook Is Changing It’s Algorithm In 2015

Yesterday, we posted about Google's 'Mobilegeddon' and the changing algorithm and optimization of mobile-friendly sites in search engines.  Today I came across another article from Contently called "What Facebook’s Algorithm Change Means for Brands, Publishers, and the Future of Media."  The article discusses changes in how Facebook is going to change it's News Feed.  The changes, according to Contently, are: 1. If your News Feed doesn’t have much on it (i.e., you don’t have many virtual friends or like many pages), Facebook is now allowing for “multiple posts from the same source in a row.” 2. After receiving feedback [...]

Google Launches “Mobile Friendly Algorithm” – What You Need To Know

By | 2017-11-21T23:11:56+00:00 April 24th, 2015|WWW News|Comments Off on Google Launches “Mobile Friendly Algorithm” – What You Need To Know

What's This All About!? This week, specifically on April 21, Google has started to implement a new algorithm specifically geared towards search engine results on mobile devices.  The easiest way I can explain it, is that Google is now checking to make sure websites are responsive (or 'mobile friendly'.) A responsive website is one that 're-aligns' itself based on the size of the screen.  Actually, if you take this screen (the one you're reading this on) and re-size the screen to a smaller dimension you'll see that it certain parts of the website 'shift' or change. The good news is that [...]

Today we’ve got a new ‘guest writer!’  He’s an old friend who I get together with every once in a while and discuss marketing, social media, the internet, music and a bunch of other stuff!  His name is Seth W.  I recently subscribed to Seth’s newsletter and his latest article was perfect!  To be honest, after my recent vacation I was mentally preparing to write an article about customer service.  I got home and Seth’s article was in my inbox and, well, he did a better job than I could have.  So…I asked Seth if I could feature him [...]
